LupuLN2 hop powder is the concentrated lupulin of whole leaf hops containing resins and aromatic oils. Cryo Hops provide brewers with the ability to get gigantic hop character while reducing astringent and unpleasant vegetal flavors. LupuLN2® is the concentrated lupulin glands of whole hop cones containing sensitive resins and aromatic oils.
During early R&D trials, brewers specifically cited ‘juicy’ and ‘resinous’ characteristics. LupuLN2 beers showcase that pronounced 'juicy' and resinous flavors with reduced grassy characteristics. As a result, some brewers recommend using LupuLN2 in conjunction with traditional pellets to ensure the complexity and flavors of the whole hop cone are retained.
Intense Hop Flavor and Aroma
Typical usage of Cryo hops would be roughly 50% of traditional pellets since the cryo hops offer twice the resin content. LupuLN2 can be used in any application where traditional hop products are utilized, including: Bittering, Kettle, Whirlpool and even direct to the fermentor. It is suggested that you use Cryo Hops as late additions or in the whirlpool, as the volatile aromatic compounds will be driven off if added early in the boil.
